This is due to the curing process. It’s also a popular chewing tobacco in some countries such as Sri Lanka. Where they sell more smokeless tobacco, because they love the flavor and tastes.
Light Red Herring Grabba
When it comes to the Light Fire Cured (Light Herring). It too Fire Cured, but not for long, like the Red Herring Grabba. The strength and smell of the light herring grabba isn’t as strong as the fire cured, but will be somewhat similar in flavor. Light Herring Grabba leaves; often crushed and blended by cigar rollers with other varieties of raw leaf to create a custom flavor cigar.
Red Rose Grabba
The Dark Air cured (Red Rose) varieties tend to be much harsher when smoked. It’s not as potent in smell as the Red Herring when directly faced with it. Only because Red Rose does not go through the same process as the red herring. It’s air cured, which means it is hung dry and has a less distinct smell.
